Overview
This workshop is designed to provide participant with a tailored project management approach in IT projects with applicable practical experience from our experts, case studies, and interactive discussion during the sessions. After the course, participants will be equipped with an understanding or Project Management Methodology from PMBOK Guide, strategic project plan, and also necessary knowledge and skills to manage IT projects in various size, content, duration, and complexity. Standish Group ‘s survey (The Standish Group international, Inc. L 2004) stated that only 29% of IT projects are success, while 18% failed and 53% challenged due to various reasons. Top two of them are incomplete requirements and lack of user Involvement.
The Objectives
In 4 days, participants will learn to:
- Analyze and conform user requirements
SI Manage resources appropriate to the project from resource pool
- Efficiently manage IT projects
- Develop the skills to manage the day-to-day challenges of team leadership
- Identify key stakeholders and develop understanding amongst them
- Planning effective communication channel
- Estimate for different types of IT projects using different estimating methods
- Develop task list and scheduling to ensure on-time project delivery
- Improve the skill in defining and controlling what is or not included in the project
- Meet the expected quality and overall project requirements
SI Systematically identify, analyze, and respond to project risks
- Improve the ability to acquire good or service
- Ensure that the various elements of the project are properly integrated &coordinated
